The documentary »Far away, among people…« is a look through the prism of the two travellers (the protagonists) and their car journey to the other end of the world, a realistic portrait of their journey, their mutual relationship, the relationship with other people they meet on the road and the specificity of their lives.
The focus of the presentation is directed at their journey and people they meet on their way. And at showing lives and relationships with all the problems they are facing together.
Through microhystorical view we display the essential characteristics of each country and everything that significantly marks the life of an individual in each visited country.
The narrative is elevated by the statements of individual people, met by the protagonists, and footages of their lives.
Film scenes at this stage are based on alternating and contrasting display of both, the protagonists and people. In this way, the film contributes to a clear understanding of differences and common points of all participants in the film / series.
The film/series shows the life and problems of our travellers on their journey, as well as all those problems that essentially characterize the specifics of life in a certain country.
It tends to present the mind-sets of people; the travelling crew meets on their journey, and their view on the protagonists, the western world and globalisation. It displays various aspects of 'individuals', who might separately be found too subjective, but united in narratives and together with others constitute a representative story of the lives of our protagonists along with people they meet on their journey.
The documentary »Far Away, Among People…« presents those stories which cannot be found in tourist guides.
Its strongest features are distinctive subtleties in people's perspectives on various issues (from the start in the eastern European countries, and all over Asia to Australia.

Aesthetics:
The project is based on the aesthetic presentation and it considers all the elements of geographical dynamism that the authors witness on the road. All scenes are in motion (physical or optical drive) and slightly slowed. This provides a greater impact of environmental vastness. The scenes are designed so that they enhance the vastness of the environment. In major cities quick and rotating scenes foster the sense of frustrating speed of life.
Shots of landscapes are generally produced through the "total" - calmly, almost statically.
Shots of the protagonists' lives, the lives of people they meet on the road are produced in the 'total' as well as in the 'close up'.
Images of the protagonists' lives, the lives of people on the road, eating habits of both, traditional and modern influences etc. touch the viewer in the contrasting exchange.
Media coverage:
given the total implementation of the project a reporter-photographer will also be a member of the team, responsible for documenting the journey and the preparation of texts and photographs for print media.
* Option: on the way we will met Slovenians who live in these countries and (also) demonstrate their view of life in the "second" homeland
